Bio poem

IALT Write a bio poem.
S.C. I know I will be successful when I can
- write adjectives that describe me
- write about my feelings
-write about my loves and fears.

I thought it was hard trying to find adjectives to describe me.  Next time I could use a dictionary to help me find adjectives.

Kia ora my name is Jade.  I enjoy all of my subjects at my school.  My favourite sports is swimming because it is hot at the moment.  The purpose of my blog is to show what I can do at my school.

My Holiday

You won't believe what I did in the holidays! 

Yup you guessed it...I went to the pools with my friend Gabrielle.


Firstly I called Gabrielle to see if she wanted to go the pools and she said yes.  We both got changed and Gabrielle came over to  my house and we went.

Next my Dad drove us to the Lloyd Elsmore pools and my Dad looked after us. We dived in like little mermaids as soon as we got  in to the pool.  We had so much fun.

Lastly my Dad let us play in the park for a little while and we went on this yellow swing.  It was so big!   Then we went on this spinning thing, it made me so dizzy.

Then we had to go home.  We had so much fun.  maybe we can do it another time.

Mighty Muscles

W.a.l.t find and summerise information in the text.

Today Mars read an article called Mighty muscles.

• I learnt that your smallest muscle is your stapedius and your biggest muscle is your gluteus maximus.
• Did you know that a smile uses 15 muscles,a frown uses 40 muscles and walking uses 200 muscles.
• To build strong muscles you need to exercise and eat the right kind of foods.
• Its important to stretch before playing any kind of sport.

  I liked this article because it teaches you how to be healthy 

  and how to be prepared when you warm up.

My Reading Reflection

In this piece of work I was learning to find and summarise information in the text.

I have now learnt to write the most important information in my own words.

I need to improve putting information into a sentence in my own words.
