Speech map.

W.a.l.t use a graphic organiser to plan our speech.

The most challenging thing was to think of facts or examples for my reasons because when you write a speech and you need to get some facts or examples to state your reasons you need to think really hard and just by getting ideas from my family i was finished in within 5 minutes.

W.A.L.T write a description of a character.
The most challenging thing was drawing the picture because it was hard to do all of the eyes on his head and the rest was kind of easy but at the same time I thought that it was all the same.  I enjoyed doing this because helping my some of friends to draw there own pictures was fun and it was also fun to guide them sometimes.

Recount Post Cards.

WALT write a recount using a post card format.

This is my writing that i have been working on.

I liked this peace of work because in the beginning our class had to start of with a practise post card and that helped me to do my own post card that I have done.

I found this peace of work easy because when I started to type it I was done with in ten minutes.

I am learning to identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel, think about or see.

Success Criteria.

I will know I have been successful when:

• I can identify what I think the author’s purpose might be
• I can identify the big idea or message/s in the story through character actions or events
• I can describe the thoughts, feelings and actions in the story and link it to author purpose
• I can find evidence in the text to support my thinking, feelings and observations
• I can identify how the illustrations help to get the author’s message across

I found this peace of work easy because it was easy to think of words to put into the questions and also because just by reading a little bit of the book it made me get a lot of information.

Next time I think I should try and read more of the book so that I can get more information and look at the success criteria.

I got a lot better at drawing then I was before because when I started to draw the background and when I started to paint it my painting started to look better.

Next time I should try and get a more thiner brush so that it would be easier to die around the out side and not paint over the vivid that I drew with.
